GoodLook is a fashion-forward app, combining clothing and music by filtering through your favorite music artists on your connected Spotify account. This app will show you the top outfits that they have been seen in, and you can find out exactly what clothing items they are wearing, with links to websites where you can buy that exact piece of clothing. You can also listen to the music (through Spotify) by that artist on their fashion page as your exploring, as well as look and buy the artist's merchandise. You can save outfits and artists to your profile, where the app can also suggest other outfits and artists based on your taste.
Idea
This app allows music lovers from all over the world to connect with their favorite artists through fashion. This app will allow fans to dress similar to their favorite artists, as well being able to find similar artists with similar styles. ‘GoodLook’ will enhance users' knowledge about the relationship between music and fashion, while using your connected Spotify account to filter through your favorite artists, making it a user-friendly and easy-to-guide app.
What is it solving?
This app will solve the problem of trying to find out exactly what your favorite artists are wearing in their most iconic outfits, daily, or the red carpet, while also being able to become inspired to spice up your own closet.
Survey
When conducting user research, I was able to put together a survey to see exactly what users are looking for when using an app. These results helped me with figuring out what specifics I should focus on when creating the final product.
User Persona
One of the most valuable pieces of information that you can gather from your target audience is what their specific demographic is, their other likes and interests, and their habits. When creating these personas, I focused on those specifics and made sure to create two users, to show how people with similar but different interests can both use this app.
Sketches
Making these sketches, I wanted to focus on the overall user experience. By making the most straightforward and easy-to-follow design, will make for the best results when it comes to making a productive and useful app design.
User Testing
When conducting a user test, I was able to find that the app is easy for most people to follow and complete a task. A majority of the test subjects were able to find what was asked of them, without having to take too long to figure out where or what specific buttons were or did.
Final Design
The final product consisted of a prototyped and clickable user experience. By starting at the main login screen, you are able to connect your Spotify account and create your own personalized experience. With the app's ability to cater to your most listened to artists, this app provides the user with easy access to their favorite artists' most popular and worn outfits and clothing items. The user also has the ability to like and save outfits and artists to their accounts. When the user finds a piece of clothing they want, they are able to easily buy the product through the website, without the hassle of searching the internet for the right piece. With a few clicks, you are able to have them shipped straight to your address, for a straightforward and exciting user experience.
